The college is known for its academic excellence as it has garnered highest number of gold medals in the University in various programmes. Established in 1941 by the renowned educationist, social reformer and Arya Samaji of Siwan, Late Baidyanath Prasad, also famous as Daadhi Baba, the institution became a constituent unit of Bihar University, Muzaffarpur under the Bihar State Universities Act, 1976. The college has also been recognised under section 2f and 12B of UGC Act, 1956 . Located in the heart of Siwan town, the college is spread over 16 acres of land with a built up area of 6604 square metres. There are spacious departments and well-furnished classrooms with essential teaching aids such as display boards and ICT facility, NCC rooms, Girls common room, huge sports ground, spacious Library, Reading room, Computer Laboratory and Science or Social Science Laboratories in addition to a spacious Auditorium to provide space for various curricular and cocurricular activities.
